Holy Peno

Crybaby Crybaby Crybaby Number: 721
Position: Blocker, Pivot
Awards: 2003 Season Awards: Best Pivot

Holly Peno was born in the hot dusty town of Laredo, Texas about a mile from the border. At the young age of five, her family decided to move to San Antonio. So, HollyPeno packed up her dolls, jalapeno plants and her collection of switchblades and headed North.

San Antonio was the beginning of a rough and tumble life for Holly Peno. One of only three girls on an all-boy soccer team, she quickly learned how to defend herself and how much fun it was to beat up the guys on the other teams. Her reputation for looking shy and sweet hid a mean and violent streak that caused another move further North to Austin. Also, her use of brass knuckles on a mama’s boy who thought he was tough enough to stand up to her helped speed the move along.

After a while, soccer did not give her the thrill it once did and because of her vicious and violent play she was asked to leave team after team. Her quest for thrills and excitement found her competing in contests to show off her switchblade-fighting skills and earned her a reputation for being fast, tough and sneaky.

One night after a close contest, Holly Peno needed a place to relax and have a few shots, so she and some friends headed for a place called the Calientano Bar. While downing a few drinks and snacking on sliced jalapenos, she met a couple of Putas who invited her to try out for a tough sport happening in Austin, all-girl roller derby on a banked track. The rest is history and Holly Peno now lives her life of excitement on wheels of fire.
